Laurin is in charge of many of the safety programs for Dalmatian Fire and our parent company, Shambaugh, including the silica exposure plan.
She has worked on our corporate safety manual and environmental handbook, and regularly conducts site visits to help ensure all safety standards are meticulously followed.
Expertise
Laurin joined the corporate safety team in 2012. Prior to that, she worked for two years in the human resources and safety department of a manufacturing company specializing in conformal coatings. In this role, she gained valuable experience touring their facilities around the U.S and conducting safety audits.
Laurin graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in occupational health and environmental health. She is also trained to teach Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10- and 30-hour Courses.
She received her Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) designations from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
The Personal Side
In her free time, Laurin enjoys spending time with family, friends, her husband, and her dog. She also enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and being outdoors.
