Indiana University Bloomington collaborated with Indiana University (IU) Health to build a new, state-of-the-art, seven-story regional academic health center on the campus of Indiana University.

Our fire protection solutions contributed to the client’s plan to construct a sustainable development, with clinical space pursuing LEED Silver® certification and an academic facility pursuing LEED Gold® certification.

Client Objectives

To protect valuable assets throughout approximately 620,000 square feet of clinical area, and 115,000 square feet of academic instruction area, the client needed complete fire protection solutions.

Solutions

Dalmatian Fire’s comprehensive solutions included:

  • 5,135 sprinklers
  • Two fire pumps
  • Four pre-action systems
  • Three dry systems
  • 18 wet systems
  • Standpipes

Client Background

The IU Bloomington Regional Academic Health Center serves as a space for teaching, learning, and research, as well as hospital and trauma care for Indiana's south-central region.
