On May 1, 1989, Rich Ackley and a team of talented people pooled their combined 100 years of experience and founded Dalmatian Fire in Indianapolis, Indiana.
On the same day, Rich also opened a branch office in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1995, a branch office was launched in Columbus, Ohio, followed by Louisville, Kentucky in 2005.
Looking for a memorable name synonymous with the fire-service industry, Dalmatian Fire was chosen in honor of the firefighters’ faithful mascot.
With four offices in the Midwest, Dalmatian Fire is large enough to complete nearly any job , and also proud of the fact that the small-company culture has been maintained—one that values long-term relationships, safety, and quality.
When customers call any of the four Dalmatian offices, they are greeted by a person, not an automated system. It’s this attention to detail, doing more than expected, and always trying a little harder that helps to ensure Dalmatian Fire’s commitment to meet customer needs.
For Dalmatian Fire, it continues to be an honor to “Protect People, Property, and Dreams” from the ravaging destruction of fire in the workplace, in public venues, and at home.
