Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital, Grove City OH

Project Description

With completion scheduled for Fall 2018, Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital will be a 508,816 sf, 210-bed, seven-story hospital with a five-story medical office building and connector located just south of downtown Columbus.

Dalmatian was selected based on their healthcare experience and worked nearly a year as part of the Design-Assist Team producing fire protection requirements and meeting owner’s needs while developing several budgets together with the DA Team to present to the Owner’s Board.

Scope of Services

Dalmatian Fire is installing approximately 6,000 sprinklers between the new hospital and medical office building. Fire Protection scope also includes a remote pump house with water supply coming from the city main as well as a pond for redundancy for the hospital.

For floors 4 through 7 of the patient tower, the sprinkler mains and lines were installed in a rack system that was built off site then disassembled then shipped to the jobsite. Once the racks were installed at the site, connection was made at the ends of the mains and a large portion of the floor was completed very quickly.
